35th Day of the Omer
Within me a well, deep, filled with cool abundant water.
sweet muse of love and loveliness!
Turn my thoughts toward you
that my eyes may see
and my heart may know
and my mind may remember
that there is beauty in my dreams.
Beyond me, a vision, a clear yet winding way.
Invisible God, eternal God
God of holiness and wonder
awaken my spirit so that
I may envision
and make real
a universe of light.
In the palm of my hand, all things possible.
Rabbi Karyn D. Kedar, from Omer: A Counting
Baruch Ata Adonai Elo-hei-nu me-lech ha-olam a-sher ke-d-sha-nu b- mitz-vo-tav, v-tzi-va-nu al s-fi-rat ha-omer.
Praised be you Adonai our God who rules the Universe instilling within us the holiness of mitzvot by commanding us to count the Omer.
Today is the thirty-fifth day – five weeks of the Omer.
