Examine your life with care and compassion. And honesty. Notice the negativity that surrounds you. The relationships that do not support you. The behaviors that are obstacles in your path. Now ask—in what way are these people and behaviors serving you? Sometimes we hold tight to negative patterns because there is something we need to learn or because we think they keep us safe or because it’s the only way we’ve known or because we do not yet understand the power we have to choose differently.
