You have been called to greatness by some force greater than us all. With all the arrogance implied, you know it to be true. It is the source of your inspiration. It is your Muse, the Divine command by which you live. It is what gives you the audacity to step out onto the stage and say with great confidence and supreme certainty what needs to be said. It is the still small voice that gnaws at your soul and that will not be silenced, even though many have tried to stifle it within you. The task is so great and you are called by a voice so demanding that you say to yourself, I think I can do this, I really do. That is why it is you that has been called. Despite the odds, and the proofs to the contrary you believe in mission, in accomplishing what others believe to be impossible or crazy. You can do this thing, you really can.

Praised be you Adonai our God who rules the Universe instilling within us the holiness of mitzvot by commanding us to count the Omer. Today is the thirteenth day – a week and six days of the Omer.
